Sushil founded Salius Rehab Inc. in 2009 with a strong focus on the wellbeing of the clients he cared for. He is a compassionate and dedicated Physical Therapist and Medical Doctor. Sushil focuses most of his practice in working with Geriatrics and improving health outcomes in restorative care. He is now completing his specialty training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Louisville.
Sumen Singla-Goyal completed her Bachelor’s degree in Physical therapy in 2005. She has been actively practicing in the lower mainland since. While practicing for over 10 year, Sumen has always been interested in all the intricate details of the body and its physiology. In 2008, Sumen certified in acupuncture with the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Intrigued by the holistic approach, she completed her 5 year program in Osteopathic Manual Therapy from the Canadian College of Osteopathy, Vancouver and defended her Thesis in 2016.
Sumen has dedicated many years in keeping updated with current practice standards and evidence based practice. She continues to engage in various educational courses. Alongside her practice, Sumen would like to share her knowledge and passion with her community. Sumen believes that education is the most powerful tool an individual has to take a proactive approach in their health and wellbeing. Sumen found osteopathy when she realized that treating the root cause meant looking further and deeper as the body can present in interesting ways to compensate for the real problem. When Sumen is not treating she is taking every opportunity to spend time with her family.
From a young age, Sonia has been an active athlete and interested in how the human body works, this led her to complete her Bachelors of Physiotherapy and specialize in Orthopedics and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy by completing her Masters at the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout her career, Sonia has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, rehabilitation hospitals, residential care facilities and private physiotherapy clinics. Sonia has completed post-graduate training in Vestibular and Concussion rehabilitation as well as orthopaedics hands-on manual therapy. She has a special interest in post operative rehabilitation and geriatric rehabilitation.
Sonia is passionate about empowering independence in the clients she works with and helping them achieve their personal health and wellness goals by providing a combination of education and evidence-based treatment interventions. Her goal is to provide her clients with the skills and exercises that will allow them to function as independently as possible. When not at work, Sonia enjoys running, volleyball, yoga and spending time outdoors, one of her most recent accomplishments was climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa with her husbandry.
Nimrat is a Registered Physiotherapist in Canada and Member of Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is practicing physiotherapy for past 8 years. She has experience treating orthopedic, musculoskeletal impairments and sports injuries for almost 8 years. Currently, she is pursuing her post-graduate training in the diploma of advanced manual and manipulative therapy. Her other certification includes Dry Needling/ IMS, Fascial Movement Taping (FMT) and Mat Pilates.
She believes in the holistic approach and treating body as a whole unit. She incorporates manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and patient education as treatment plan to deal with pain and movement dysfunctions. Her approach leads to goal of improving quality of life and regaining independence for her patients. In spare time, she keeps herself active by going for walks, doing yoga, Pilates and gym, and loves to travel.
Wren has been practicing as a Physiotherapist for 20 years. He graduated his program in 1997. Wren has traveled and worked as a Physiotherapist in India, Maldives and the Middle East as clinical PT and Instructor. He has Also works as a preceptor to UBC students. Wren believes in hands on therapy & Exercises prescription. His versatile background and wide range of experience allows him to comfortably treat various conditions.
When he is not working you can find him enjoying his family, traveling, music, gardening and collecting antiques.
Shanu is a registered physiotherapist in Surrey, BC. She completed her post graduation in Masters of Physiotherapy from Manipal University in year 2010.Also, She is certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist from American College of Sports Medicine.She has past work experience in variety of clinical settings including Neuro-musculoskeletal and Cardiopulmonary rehab units.
She strongly believes in individual tailored program, helping her clients to achieve realistic goals using various manual therapy and pain management techniques along with exercise prescription. She has plans to upgrade her skills with continuing education to deliver best services to her clients.In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, follow various fitness trends and loves to explore different places with Family.
Amandeep has been working as an Interim Physiotherapist since May 2017. After completing her General Science degree at the University of British Columbia in 2012, she went onto pursue Physiotherapy at Brunel University London, United Kingdom. Since then, she has worked in clinic as well as in the long term care division to provide rehabilitation for the elderly. Amandeep enjoys taking a collaborative, hands-on approach with her patients to see the changes physiotherapy can bring to their lives. She loves the overall healthy lifestyle that physiotherapy promotes and the dynamic practice environment.
When she’s not working, Amandeep enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on hikes in our beautiful city of Vancouver, and traveling.
Shane obtained his certification as a Kinesiologist from The University of British Columbia - Okanagan and has gained experience working in busy and reputed Wellness and Physiotherapy clinics in Kelowna and Vancouver. As a Kinesiologist, Shane can apply his knowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics to assess an individual's functional movements. He can assist in providing pain relief and treatment of soft tissue injuries resulting from over-use, Motor Vehicle Accidents(MVA), sports or workplace injuries, as well as general disorders such as chronic pain and fatigue. Shane's focus is on active rehabilitation to get his clients back to optimal health.
As a Certified Personal Trainer, Shane conducts both group and private training sessions for his clients. Shane has also conducted small group training sessions for seniors with disabilities. Shane has also successfully completed his Registered Massage Therapy Program from WCCMT, New Westminster and is awaiting registration so he can use his massage therapy skills to provide a full range of treatment options to his clients. Shane grew up playing competitive soccer with Surrey Youth and Surrey United Soccer Clubs, representing his team at the Provincial level.
Farrah graduated with a Bachelor in Kinesiology with a concentration in Sport Performance in 2017. She joined Salius Rehab Inc. as a kinesiologist in July 2017. Her experiences, passion for exercise and physical activity, and participation in sports, have been the catalyst for her studies in kinesiology and career in active rehabilitation. She specializes in providing active rehab in the clinic, gym, and pool settings to clients.
When Farrah is not working, she spends time with her family and friends and enjoys playing hockey, badminton, and basketball.
